• Low Level Laser–  Cold laser therapy is used to support the healing process through the use of different Hertz of light to target different tissues in the body including muscle, fascia, nerve, and bone.  The cold laser is also used in some sessions to influence the energetic flow of the chakras.

  • Cupping and Gua Sha –  Cupping is the application of glass cups that are suctioned on the body with intent to stretch the connective tissue and fascia, bring fresh blood into the area, increase oxygenation, and pull stagnant blood from the tissues. Cupping is recommended for chronic muscle and joint pain.   Gua Sha addresses scar tissue and fascial restrictions.  Using repeated pressured strokes with a gua sha tool, this process will reduce or eliminate adhered fibers, restoring range of motion and eliminating the associated pain. Over the course of several treatments, your soft tissue injury will transform into healthy functioning tissue.

  • Hydrotherapy –  I use hydrotherapy with the use of ice and heat to influence circulation, acute and chronic injury rehabilitation, and arthritis through the use of hydrocollator heat packs, ice packs, and ice massage.

  • Reiki –  Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal, or divinely guided, life force energy.  It is a high vibrational energy.  By raising your vibration through this modality, your body is supported to perform its natural healing processes.  The energetic alignment that is supported through reiki alleviates implicit stress. Coming home to balance can lead to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.  

  • Kinesio Tape –  Kinesio tape is an application of elastic therapeutic tape to enhance the function of and positively influence muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and circulation at all stages of injury and recovery.  The application allows normal ROM and can be worn for extended periods with continued therapeutic benefit between visits.  Kinesio tape has the ability to re-educate the neuromuscular system, reduce inflammation, prevent injury and promote good circulation and healing.  The tape is constructed of 100% cotton and elastic fibers.  The adhesive is made of 100% medical grade acrylic and is latex free.

  • Ginger Poultice –  Application of a ginger poultice is very effective for joint pain, arthritis, bone bruises. The ginger paste is applied to the area of involvement with a heat source.  The client may begin to feel the spiciness of the ginger as it penetrates.  This method of addressing inflammation has an immediate effect and can be done at home as a form of self care.
